Set it up
- Open Settings, then Connectors.
- Choose Add custom connector.
- Name it Agent Yard, paste
https://www.aiagentyard.com/api/mcp/and leave authentication empty. - In a new chat, ask: "Use Agent Yard to find a prompt for a cover letter."
Custom connectors depend on your Claude plan. In Claude Code, run:
claude mcp add --transport http agent-yard https://www.aiagentyard.com/api/mcp/- Open Settings, then Apps and Connectors.
- Turn on developer mode under Advanced settings.
- Create a connector named Agent Yard with the URL

Custom connectors are only on ChatGPT plans that support them.
Add this to ~/.cursor/mcp.json (or your project's .cursor/mcp.json), then reload Cursor:

Prefer a skill?
Download SKILL.md, put it in a folder named agent-yard, zip the folder and upload it in Claude under Settings, Capabilities, Skills. In Claude Code, save it as ~/.claude/skills/agent-yard/SKILL.md.
No connector support at all? Every prompt page has a copy button, and the full catalog is available as prompts JSON and personas JSON.
Questions
Is the plugin free?
Yes. It is free to use, needs no account and has no usage fees from Agent Yard. Your assistant's own plan rules still apply.
What can it see or change?
Nothing on your side. It is read-only: it searches the public Agent Yard catalog and returns prompt text. It does not store your chats or ask for your files.
Which assistants work?
Any app that supports remote MCP servers. That includes Claude (custom connectors), Claude Code, ChatGPT plans with custom connectors in developer mode, and Cursor. Support depends on your plan and app version.
What is the difference between the connector and the skill?
The connector searches the whole live catalog. The skill is a single SKILL.md file that teaches Claude how to use Agent Yard, and it works even where connectors are not available.
Does it include every prompt?
Yes. It covers all 560 personas and 1077 task prompts on the site, and every result links back to its page.
